Subbed. Love the combination of the old and the new, with the little touch of excentricity that we need - Portmeirion, for example. Check out the Kent & North Wales Light Railway, a live steam indoor 16mm layut, with a little part of the village of Portmeirion recreated for the viewer ...

Hello and thanks for the fantastic video, i have noticed that you have carpet under your track. Is it ordinary carpet? i am asking because i want to do the same with mine but i am afraid that the heat from the train may burn it. Thanks.

Like the monorail

Excellent video.
July 2010, Hornby isn't making the live steam sets any more. One company (sells on ebay) has all the stock left. They say at the rate they are selling only about 6 months left until its gone.
Nice monorail!!

i'd love a live steam a4, fantastic, but more importantly, who made the monorail and where did you get it, i've been looking for one for a while. nice straight forward vid btw :)

how much have you spent on that mate? Personally i would lose the monorail its doesn't fit in. I like the mallard but you really need to work on your scenery all in all tho prety good vid and layout.
The monorail was made by a company that went out of business years ago, I can't remember the name. You can occasionally get them on eBay or similar sites. I looked for years to find one, then found someone selling them new in NZ, and offering spare track too. Sorry I can't be more useful.
