Love it! I'm looking for a copy of the telecast of the 1983 season home opener vs the Oilers. I've been in touch with everyone I can think of (the Flames, HNIC, the NHL) and so far, no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The 89 Flames were great but too bad for them and their fans they haven't been anywhere near as dominant since.

Normally a Vancouver Canuck fan, I was delighted that the Calgary Flames won the Stanley Cup in 1989. I wanted to see them win it because I wanted to see Lanny McDonald retire with success instead of failure. Thankfully for Lanny's sake, they captured that triumph.

What is the song in the montage?

May 25 1989. A sacred date for every Flames fan. Hopefully we will get back to the top of the mountain one day. The 6th game against Montreal was the first NHL game that I saw live on TV. I actually had bet my entire weekly allowance on that Calgary would win the game 4-2 so when Dougie scored that emptynet goal I ran around in the appartment screaming like a mad man=). Thanks for showing this video. Brings back so many memories.
