I remember seeing the signs saying "hurricane forming in the gulf" everyday to and from work and that traffic on 45...we watched it from our front yard...crazy. Thank God everyone got together the way they did

That song is very appropriate for this situation. I know, I lived thru it along with millions of others. It was a choice of stay, and risk our lives, or leave, and get into a 50 mile long traffic jam and possibly be caught on the road like thousands were. My father was on the road, this happend 2 wks after his heart surgery, he had no a/c in his truck; but after 30 hours he made it to the north side of houston where he was safe.
