Terry Bradshaw was not the president of the United States we should expect more of our president this country was full of draft dodgers back then but most didn't run for president and claim to be war heroes and where does Bush get off criticizing Kerry for his war record he risked his life in vietnam and fought with honor because he's not a coward who sends other people kids off to die

Can we also indict terry bradshaw for hiding from Viet Nam combat by hiding in a Pittsburg steeler uniform?

if you indict Bush for avoiding Viet Nam then you must also include those ivy league students at yale, harvard, cornel etc. How many of these rich spoiled clowns ever served in Viet Nam or even the national guard. Yes thousands got special treatment during the Viet Nam war and probably all wars. I am a Viet Nam vet and was drafted and served in the infantry 11b10 101st Airborne 68-69

that was not a reason for deferment for viet nam. obamas father was a muslim and would not have fought for america anyway.

Yes it was. Sen. Fred Thompson (R) was also given a deferment for this very reason.

You're absolutely correct. I don't condone Clinton either for the way he avoided the draft, but at least he had specific reasons for doing so, i.e. he opposed the war and its cause.

Bush on the other hand, avoided the draft simply because he was a coward.

So, do you as an american get to choose the right war that fits your agenda. the truth is that most rich kids did avoid Viet Nm. Terry Bradshaw quarterback avoid the draft because he could throw a football and other kids died in his place. I served in the infantry with the 101st 1968 and with luck came home whole.

Are you waiting for me to agree with you? The Guard in the 1960s was a haven for draft-dodgers and most of these were the children of rich politicians. Dan Quayle avoided and so did Lloyd Bentsen's son. And so did Bush, Clinton probably would have if he had had the connections. But at least Clinton and Quayle never made themselves out to be war heroes like GWB did, dressing up as a fighter pilot and landing on an aircraft carrier.

That's what makes GWB such a hypocrite.

Clinton went to England to avoid the draft. Bush did join the guard.

Bush didn't "join" the Guard - he had his daddy lean on the Texas ANG commander to get him in. Bush didn't have the courage to go to Vietnam.
