  • Thank you for sharing this very moving video. I'm a Vietnam Vet who made it home alive, but lost many good friends June 17th 1969 at Gio-Lihn. I am one of thousands of Canadians who went south to enlist in the American Forces. Thanks again, USMC-Mike Company 3/3 1968-69

  • This video did make me cry, too many memories both good and bad! Thank you for making this video! You don't know what it means to me!

  • @rags1488 Give None-Take None

  • @primeholyassasin20 The common belief is that the domino theory was proved false.

Fact: The domino theory was accurate. The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand stayed free of Communism because of the U.S. commitment to Vietnam.

  • @primeholyassasin20 The Indonesians threw the Soviets out in 1966 because of America's commitment in Vietnam. Without that commitment, Communism would have swept all the way to the Malacca Straits that is south of Singapore and of great strategic importance to the free world. If you ask people who live in these countries that won the war in Vietnam, they have a different opinion from the American news media. The Vietnam War was the turning point for Communism.

  • @thirdmarines If you went out of your way to join a war your a bad dude, respect

  • @thirdmarines

    Thank you for your service.

  • The vietnam war was a horrendous political miscalculation, but I'm glad this memorial was able to provide some sort of solace. I also think of it as a reminder to carefully analyze all the circumstances of a situation before considering warfare as an option. Peace is the best victory, life is chaotic enough.

  • How can I get a copy of this song. Please contact me at bill3243@comcast.net

  • Thank you for this video. I spent 15 months in the Mekong with the Mobile Riverene Force, 1968-69. Now I ride with Vietnam Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club. Never again!!

  • God Bless the Vietnam Veterans. They may not be perfect, but they are all human.
