  • to jvarela965, dr hans holzer would not have written hundreds of books on this field or over a hundred books on amityville if he didn't believe. of course he believed. the only reason people call him a lune and a joke is because they're not comfortable with the fact that his ideas and beliefs were different.

  • its REAL but there are some add up stories that makes the whole thing HOAX.

  • the defeo's moved in that house in 1965 so why 9 years later the indian chief possesses ronnie and make him do it? i don't know and we don't really understand it, how can you believe these theories? you just can't. very strange.

  • Ric Osuna said it, not me. Ron told him that Ron, Dawn, and a friend used a car's backfire to cover the sound of the shots. Osuna says rampant police brutality encouraged neighbors to keep quiet (doubtful). I think it was High Hopes that said Ron's family wasn't into organized crime. I didn't finish Osuna's bk as I was about to get to Ron's beating and didn't think I'd be able to stomache it. You are right that Ron is a lousy source, but Osuna backed up the police brutality thing pretty well.

  • That would also mean that the surviving relatives, that is his grandfather (we all know they were mobbed up) and so on, wanted him to get the entire blame rather than even bring up that ANOTHER member of the family was involved. I did not read "High Hopes", and although I know the police did not follow procedure to the fullest extent when questioning him, are you saying the threats of police brutality against the neighbors is what kept them quiet? I believe that Ronny is not credible at all.

  • The Indians were not there as it's by the water. It's a small lot and the neighbors had no problems. As for the shots, no one ever tested later if neighbors could hear them; Ric Osuna claims that threats of police brutality kept the neighbors quiet (backed up in "High Hopes," in which the D.A. indicates the police may have coerced/beat Ron into confessing); Osuna claims Ron posed the bodies and that Dawn killed many people, not Allison, who was 12...? Ron cannot be believed.

  • the only thing thats real about this whole story is the murder of the family...other than that you cant really prove if the house is or was haunted can you?

  • I wonder though if he really believes what he was saying. He died this past year 4/09.

  • The bible says the dead are dead until the 2nd coming Psalm 146:3, 4. This guy is a joke.
