In Tripoli, thousands of loyalists came out in support of the man who has ruled Libya for more than 40 years.

For the moment, most of the violent unrest appears confined to the east of the country. But, even in the capital, Gaddafi's stronghold, film footage showed pockets of opposition, sparked by demands for greater political freedom and human rights.

  • wow, I love listening to people talk about how all Muslims can't handle themselves... that may be some of the most ignorant comments I have ever heard. You should be ashamed of yourselves, but I'm sure you are too dumb and blind to be so.

  • what is happening in the middle east is really positive for its people.... but one should remember, bringing about change is not as easy as bringing down a dictator. It is a strong first step no doubt, but its people should realize that its really a beginning of a long hard fight and they will have to continue this fight if they really want to see thier children grow up in their dream of change..

  • @eatchinchilla 'I'm sure you are too dumb and blind to be so.'

I'm sure you're right. All I know about you is that your religion is evil and you want to kill and enslave us.

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection." Sura 9:29

  • @eatchinchilla ...so enlighten us, given the fact that a lot of oil producing nations are Islamic states and this of course brings untold wealth, why are most of those contries so corrupt and oppressed and fucked up? Or am I totally wrong here? Funny how muslims do not show courage when their enemy is often within, no cries of a jihad when a muslim bombs fellow muslims, no sign of anyone going to help out is there?

  • @youstupidcuntbastard you really do live up to your name don't you?
