Underwater video taken on October 28th, 2008 at Sea Lion Cove near Point Arena, California. Despite claims that this area has been "80% depleted" the footage shows an overpopulation of abalone. Depth: 15-20 feet.

    We were just taking pictures with scuba gear for educational purposes. When taking abalone in NorCal, scuba gear is prohibited. Freedive only.

    No abalone were harmed in the production of this video!

  • Nice seeing that there are still some good spots, they've poached most of everything here, asian triads trade ephedrine with the poor locals for abalone, it has cause an epidemic meth crisis.
