I did exactly what you all said and it wouldnt harden to solid. Out of 10, what number should I put the oven on? Also, how long, in minutes, do I keep stirring AND how long do i keep it in the fridge?

O brigadeiro parece ótimo, mas a Olívia e o Elvis são lindinhos, parabéns!

@PessoasnaPessoa And all took exactly the same time to make!! (but of course the kids take a little more work afterwards).

Timing varies of course but the best guideline is to keep stirring until you can see the bottom of the pan quite clearly. So when you scoop the bottom, the brigadeiro takes a while to level out and hide the bottom of the pan. As for how long it should stay in the fridge, it only needs to get chilled, but it won't harm it if you keep it there for longer. The trick really is to get the cooking point right.

If you get your hands sticky from trying to roll the brigadeiro into balls with unbuttered hands, is it hard to get it off? Even so, how do you get it off?

You scrape with a spoon and then eat it! We live in London.
