There a tons of different weapons and armor that you can buy as you progress through the game. There are shops throughout the game were you can buy them. Each shop that you find will carry more powerful armor and weapons than the previous ones.

wha is shadowrun actually about?

The player takes on the role of Jake Armitage (an homage to one of the main characters in William Gibson's novel Neuromancer), a courier who is shot and nearly killed in the streets of Seattle in the year 2050 by a hit squad. He wakes up in a morgue with amnesia. The remainder of the game follows Jake as he attempts to uncover his own identity, as well as that of the mysterious figure who wants him dead.

I'm currently working on a 3d adaptation of this game and have been for the last year. I'm using a graphics engine I wrote last year and am mapping out the levels at the moment. If it works out well, I'm going to add my own stories and well as a possible multi-player option. Depends on my load at uni next semester. When I have a working version I'll post a link to it in my YouTube channel's description.

Why are people comparing this game with the Genesis one? They are not even the same game. The only things they share is the title and setting/universe. Two completely different stories. It's like comparing an orange with an tomato :D

This snes version looks fun and I'm going to add it to my emulation collection but one thing's for sure...this is one of the few instances where the music and the game itself is a thousand times better on the Genesis version and blows the snes version away...a lot of times it was the opposite with those dual releases but the Genesis release was so much more rich all around, the mood, the music, the gameplay, the classic feel & look, the way you met shady characters.

@Textra1 If you love shadowrun for snes and sega search on google for abandon tomorrow flash game - its a rpg inspired from shadowrun and it can be played straight from browser , no download required. Haill shadowrun! PS: if you help the game with a good rating developers gona make a contiune to it.
