An inquiry by the government reveals the country provided the CIA with at least two detention centers on its territory. This follows media reports that Lithuanian may have been involved in the U.S. extraordinary rendition program. The parliamentary committee found that between 2002 -2005 the U.S. agency's planes were allowed to land in Lithuania. But the panel said it had found no evidence that suspects were interrogated on Lithuanian soil. Adding to the controversy was the former Lithuanian leader Rolandas Paksas who said it was his refusal to set up detention centres for the CIA that led to his impeachment in 2004.

  • just in case you should be very careful to watch such news. The best way is to be sceptic about it.. well at least i am about russia today.

Paleckis ("the opposition party leader") is not in seimas(and his party isn't) at all and is an outcast in Lithuania. And really there is no proof that there were a prison, but there was proof that there could be one. So no one knows, but good name of our country is at risk.

  • @DefenceSpeech hhaah penguins defending haha well said. And I bet igorvasilevsky and moscow, both come from long line of incest relationships....

  • @MoscowMaestro wow youre sooo worried about 2 muslims being tortured in vilnius but frankly u dont give a fuck about 3mln+ people who died in gulags after WW2? Moscow you are just as brainwashed and as americans, just little more pathetic. Seems funny how you talk shit on youtube and pretend that it matters to anyone. GET A LIFE youre not a president or a politician just an alcoholic locked in your moms basement faping to russian incest porn.

  • @MoscowMaestro Pashla nachui suka!

  • Really? You surprise me.

  • Good, and if you see my comments on any other videos do not bother to interject your worthless thoughts.

  • You are just to childish to discuss with. Sorry, but this conversation is over.

  • I am not ashamed to be from the U.S., even if it has become another tentacle of the ZOG machine. Trust me, it doesn't take a genius to criticize the U.S. as you can see even poor Russian mongoloids whose mothers have sold themselves enough to buy them computers can write their opinion on the internet. Now as a Norwegian, do you plan to become another satellite state of Russia? You have already cowardly given them all the rights to the resources in the Barents Sea, so what's next?

  • And you come from? If you can not leave your childish terms out of the discussion you should stop debating. My guess is that you are American. And a really proud American too. Am I right?

  • I know there are trolls in Lithuania. We have them in Norway too. But do you really think it is very strange that many Lithuanians are skeptic about Russians after all the years of occupation? I know both sides and I appreciate both sides. I think Putin did a lot of needful things for Mother Russia and I think Dmitrij Anatoljevitsj now is leading the great country in a good direction. We should try to stop talking shit about each-other and start focusing on the worlds real problems.
