inside of a lock there are individual pins that have to be pushed up to a certain level to clear the lock and make it able to be turned. thats what he was doing. it usually just looks like they are just wiggling it around though

i pick the pins up.. i wiggle because the paperclip gets stuck.

Very nice...I found that individual pin picking doesn't work quite as well as raking on the #3s, but you pulled it off, bravo!

thanks... in my state i can't get picks because they are illegal so i started out with paperclips... and then i started making picks out of hacksaw blades and a dremel works nice... :D
