The Songs Of Distant Earth in one video. This is a Mike Oldfield Album which is based on the book The Songs Of Distant Earth by Arthur C Clarke. I uploaded this because i think it is a beautiful album and more people should hear it. (i do not own copyright to this and no infringment is intended, copyright belongs to Mike Oldfield)

  • This is one of best Oldfield's albums.

  • This is an epic album which has no recognition. I changed my entire musical interests when I first heard it, for it was the first Mike Oldfield album I ever heard, and I never looked back. In fact, I still have the CD put away safely inside a box like a precious jewel.

  • At 39:00 what is the track?

  • @GreyLabyrinthine me too man i listened to this album every night before i went to sleep for years and years when i was a little kid. it reminds me of simpler and happier times. even without the connotations though the album is great.

  • This is the sound of my youth. It might well be the first music I ever consciously listened to. I figure that I could have done worse. Have to thank my Dad for it sometime. These melodies will forever be ingrained into the folds of my brain.

    Thank you for uploading, paranoidzombie.

  • Chapot Mike!

  • Oh,yeah, that is both really intelligent, sympathic and utopic, with love and sensibility, typically mike oldfield, much more behind than we think,,because he use to talk through his music to his environment,he is not a man of many babbling and talking and whistling with words to our ears!I am a fan since 14,more than 30 years...and seldom heard interviews, but i listend to a lot of songs and he is absolutely unique like mozart or debussy!

  • @MrModulator Thanks! :)
