The video montage engineer is a dick, he has cut the most spectacular part at 4:40!
I was surprised to notice this recording 2.5 years after I had discovered Alkan. Indeed, this performance is very, very impressive.

Creo q vi mas de 100 veces este video y he visto y escuchado otras interpretaciones pero esta sencillamente es la mejor lejos. La expresividad que tiene esta mujer es impresionante, la tecnica que tiene, la agilidad, no le erra una sola nota. Esta interpretacion es perfecta, me hubiese gustado estar para verla en vivo.

Her technique is great, just look at her 5th fingers, they show that the hands are relaxed, her technique is nearly perfect, looks like a result of finger-tapping exercises.

There's ansolutely nothing wrong with this performance. Agreed, she looks cramped while playing, but that's just her personal technique. You just cannot play Alkan while cramping. Look at the passage from 5:30: She would hurt herself pretty badly if she didn't have control... Yes there are other humans besides Hamelin or Gibbons who can play Alkan ;-)
