Cammed grand prix GTP

My 97 grand prix Gtp. painted Red with white rally's. VS cam, XS headers, 3.3 inch pulley, CAI, 104's, 180 Tstat, 90 pound valve springs, Cat delete, 3 inch downpipe, Resonator delete, Rear o2 sensor delete, ported generation 3 blower, big worm performance shop tune.

I took it my gtp in to meineke and they say it needs a rack and pinion and that it will cost me 900 dollars.Is that a fair price?

@860125mwj It's a fair price with parts and labor at a shop. Rack and pinions are expensive parts. Id attempt to do it myself if i were you.

GTP's run fine without any mods. I have a 2001 GTP and it'll fly. I just don't like front wheel drive. Torque steer is terrible if you are gassing it and changing lanes. My rear wheel drive Trans Ams are better suited for that, but other than that, I love my GTP! Nice looking car you have there. Mine is white 4dr with leather graphite interior. 27mpg on hwy driving 80!

hey if you want to make your car sound like a v8 put 2 outlaw racing mufflers on it. no cats or resinator loud as hell.

@kronicbud52 I got a 97 gtp for 1300. It has some problems but im gona fix it up. I dont know if the supercharger works because there was no belt on it. I think the owner just didnt replace it.. A girl owned it.
