Music like Korn and Evanescence shine a light into the darkness, show that there are very bad things in the world. That people suffer, are mocked, ridiculed. Some people may think that all Goth/Metal music does is portray people as depressed. But, that isn't the case at all. This type of music is really a wake up call to people that are blind to all the bad things around them.
