baroque word age (first draft)

This is a learning project. The main thing I wanted to accomplish was getting familiar with Synfig (http://www.synfig.org ), it has gone through some major development leaps lately and looks like a pretty viable tool for generating some stunning animations.

The text I wrote a while ago, I stuck it up on Deviant Art a couple years ago (http://webmadman.deviantart.com/art/the-baroque-filigrees-74887092 )- it always seemed like it needed animating.

The background is the track Heart Spin Wrap Around from my album Liquid Thought (http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/63586 ).

I'm calling this a draft because I want to do more with it, this is just a basic text animation and I would like to add more.

All the fonts are from the Open Font Library (http://openfontlibrary.org )

Awesome. I like this just as it is. No other elements distracting me, just the words on the screen and the soundtrack. Poetic simplicity and it works well in this case in my opinion.

I agree with you- when I set out on this project, I saw the words as just the starting point, I honestly didn't expect the first step to come out so compelling. As it is, I think I'll probably leave it as is- I learned a lot in the process, so I guess I'll need to start another project to learn more :-)
