There are a lot of things I could say about this performance.
Overall, the only problem is technique and a couple of wrong notes which you are fully aware of which is fine.
I think they way you phrase the whole piece is the best one I have yet to see online.
Good Work Btw.
DEAR OTHER COMMENTERS/ YOUTUBE USERS,
Look at all the other shitty, rushed, and non-emotional covers of this piece.
Every other cover is Shit.
In my opinion, the way you played it at least sounds nice.

To be honest, it doesn't sound like you had much sense of phrasing. a lot of it is just one section after another. you do play this piece for the most part "accurately" in the sense you played exactly what's on the page. But solo-ing isn't about what's on the page. It's about expressing. I didn't feel like you actually put much of yourself into the piece. Take another look at the music and really feel the different sections and what you are trying to convey in each section.

That is a nice marimba,

Nice job! A little slow, but its all about learning and you did great

This is pretty cool though I was looking for van haleness eruption

I don't see any of their marimba videos so we can see their awesome technique! I did a different munez piece for my undergrad recital with string quartet. Her music is pretty tacky :D

i am planning on doing this piece for my high school percussion show, and i was wondering where you got your music from and what order you played this piece. thanks! and good job it sounds good.
-
you have terrible technique... i'd be ashamed if i was your teacher
-
Bravo!
Technique is a lifelong pursuit and yes I am still working on mine... there is more to playing music than the mechanical movement and the notes on the page. I would like to think that my musicality and sense of phrasing added to the performance. Thanks so much for the constructive criticism :/ I really can't believe you would even take the time to communicate such a blatant abuse to someone.
