People do not realize that a synth is the software and hardware. A software version of any synth will never give you as much as the original hardware because the hardware was calibrated to enhanced the software it contained and they are hi fidelity dedicated equipment. I have Logic Studio and the sounds are great if you are going to do a TV spot but my Roland D50 is amazing and has the body Logic instruments will not give me.

I agree. If you want to listen music included with this VST isntrument, then go on this link (dsernek1-severovzhod). For my opinion are the best VST synth from ARTURIA with realy strong
analog sounds (minomoog V, jupiter 8, pro 53 etc.). Polysix VST is maybe useful only for strings or lead sounds.

definately the real thing - if you can get it and afford it. I wouldn't be so sure if sampling the real thing on the other hand would be worthwhile because the modelling applied (assumingly via digital sampler of software sampler) will drag the quality back down to a digital feel, hence the softsynth versions, for a fraction of the money. it's just about the compromise between price, space, reliability where warmth and quality of sound is sacrificed. but yes, again, definately the real thing.

There is some strange allure to these sorts of packages especially for newer producers. To me it seems that if you are already using and want the analog, more organic sounds you will some how buy the original, or sample it none the less rather than paying a fraction of the cost for some plugins that model after the machine. Basically people that want analog sounds are going to find real analog sounds and not "modeled sounds." This why it all seems like a gimick unfortunately. Sorry Korg.

Nothing is as boring as watching somebody operanting a computer. How about uploading some actual music done with this software and not just random noodling?
all of you guys are talking pure shit. just make some fucking music! it doesnt matter whether or not you've forked out money for an old synth or using a really well designed emulation! just make something and stop discussing such nonsense.

I don't think this video is representative for this high quality remake of the Polysix. Nothing wrong with this good-sounding vst, but the video-presentation is kinda boring! (Sorry!)
