I never got into the twitter thing. It seems popular amongst athletes and musicians.

One of the Lakers came to Toronto and praised the city for its diversity.

It was a tweet and the local press picked it up.

just to let you know, twitter knows where you are when you tweet. the egyptian government used this location ability to locate people who were reporting the protests

@lineartechbd1600 This isn't a secret. They ask you to turn on this setting and also notify you after you switch it on. The Egyptians who were caught are ass holes and deserved to be caught.

black people do not use twitter more than others as you suggest. I looked it up and whites are 60 percent black 16 and whites 11. you really need to stop assuming stuff. more than likely, they target the topics to you based on location (brooklyn) or your profile info. I watch a lot of electronic repair videos on  youtube so i get a lot of electronic video suggestions. twitter sounds like the dumbest thing I ever heard of.

@lineartechbd1600 They don't target it based on your profile info. It's purely based on tweets. You can have them regionalised for your profile but that is a waste of time. I have it set as the default, worldwide. I didn't assume anything in this video. I have pure stats to back up my claims.

@TheCreativeJournal I don't use it as much as I used to either. When it was geek dominated I used to be on their ll the time because a lot of tech news would break on it. Now it's a celebrity dominated network.

@Pentazoid111 Well it looks like we have different stats. Your stats are way off the mark though. I haven't run into any stats that remotely resemble what you are claiming. Every one of my sources came from people who are well versed in social media. There was actually a black commentator who wrote a book or an article on te subject.

Forgetting the stats though, I'll tell you 9 out of 10 of the current trending topics at any time are African American dominated. The other 1 is dominated by bots

The stats I looked at shows that 82 percent of the people who used twitter are white people , and a mere 7 percent of the people who used twitter are black people.7 percent isn't a large target audience
