@JudgeEden Most people enjoy their belief that God will torment us for all eternity and they will continue to believe it until they discover the Truth at death.They feel like winners,they backed the right horse.But there are no winners in God.Instead of always talking about hell and whose right or whose wrong, they would profit by living in simple imitation of Christ.. Practising love, tolerance and good will and leaving the judgement to God
Yet another Christian repeating that stupid lie. Jesus did not speak of this "Hell" at all, nor did anyone else. This typical belief of Hell is a HUGE misconception brought about by old pagan beliefs. Jesus spoke FAR more about the Kingdom of God than most other subjects.
As far as what you quoted, that was poetic, figurative language. It is also symbolic. How the hell do people take that literally? The way it's worded should prevent it from being literal.
No hell is a temporary place for unbelievers that burn.. Then death and hades ( hell ) gives them up to be judged in the end then they are cast into the lake of fire ( the eternal place of torment ) Its all in the Bible dont put down the FEW who speak the truth!!!!!!!
Who gnashes their teeth while being burned? No one does that. The Bible is saying they are gnashing their teeth in ANGER, not pain. And you dont seem to get what I was saying to you. Hell IS NOT the Lake of Fire, the Lake of Fire IS NOT Hell.
You cannot use the parable, since it's a parable and isn't supposed to be taken literally. There is no "rich man" in eternal torment.
@JudgeEden okay it still says lake of fire it says there will be gnashing of teeth it says The man in Luke 16:24 cries: ". . .I am tormented in this FLAME."
In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: "And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
In Matthew 25:41, Jesus says: "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting FIRE,. . ."
Revelation 20:15 says, " And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE."
Hell comes from the root word which means the Grave. Please, show me a scripture that says there is an ethereal torture chamber down in the center of the Earth. Please, i'm serious.
The belief in eternal torment is a tradition of man, it's not taught in the scriptures. Please do some research.
Paganism, THAT is what the doctrine of eternal torment came from. It is false doctrine and it needs to be abandoned. "Hell" in the Bible has ALWAYS been translated from the word that means 'Grave'. There is no eternal torment, I have full confidence that what i'm saying is true.
The belief was made popular by the Whore that sits on many waters, the Whore that rides the Beast.

@JudgeEden
Never taught in the scriptures? Jesus Christ speaks of hell on more occasions than he speaks of heaven. His words are clear and unambiguous.
Have you not read "The smoke of their torments rises up forever" ?
