Patterson Hood, singer/guitarist, and Brad Morgan, drummer, of the band Drive-By Truckers from Athens, Georgia talk gear, loving what they do, and recording their first album with the "dregs of gear" in a Birmingham, Alabama warehouse. Nowadays, they can afford better gear like Gibson Les Paul guitars, and all those years practicing on old beat up gear only made them sound even better on the good stuff. Says Patterson, if you can make that sound on an old beat up guitar or three drums, it'll only get better when you upgrade. Check out their latest album, The Big To-Do here http://bit.ly/bbDBTcd or from Best Buy here http://bit.ly/bbDBTcd2. They will be touring this summer 2010 with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers!
