"I'm going to take 3 strokes into the flip jump." takes four strokes and four crossovers... :)

@misses165 Your welcome! I hope it helps :)

@BLONDEduh Thanks!

@misses165 Hi. What I can say is not to be afaid of it. Once your toe pick is in the ice, push off straight up and snap in, making sure that you are all the way over the right side (unless you're lefty :)) Have a strong check-out and remember to practice!
Good Luck :)

anyone have any tips for me to rotate more? cuz i do more of a 3/4 flip jump
-
ahahaha that helped me so much. NOT. quit explaining HOW to do it! whats more important are tips and things that help! we already know how to pick our toe in

ive been skating for a long time... and im sorry.... but she really doesnt look like she has a coach. it looks as though it was self taught.
-
ok it wasnt the best example but all of you saying that it is a lutz or a toe loop, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. do your research before commenting, even the title says flip jump.
-
@KyleeDeLuca It's not a toe loop because she put her right toe into the ice and rotated anti-clockwise. In a toe loop she would have put her left toe into the ice :)
-
@KyleeDeLuca im not the best at this but usually the jumps differentiate in the entry, in this she does a triple turn to turn around, in the toe loop she actually switches feet and does a circular motion to turn around
all of you guys who posted negative stuff and idiots. If you've only been skating for 2 months than shut your mouth because you don't know shit

Wow, so many comments are judgmental. This skater is trying to keep the jumps as simple as is possible, so that the rest of us who are trying to learn the pre/post edges of each jump and the technical differences between jumps is understandable. If she was in competition, then yes, we would expect her to be leaping tall bldgs and doing quads! Chillllllll!!
