@45shrike It is not fourcylinders it is about sound. E30 M3 sounded very good. Naturally aspirated sixcylinders sound even better. Turbos destroy everything: sound and throttle response.
I had a turbocharged BMW but the turbo lag was nagging me and i was feeling uncomfortable with the terrible diesel sound. Now i have a 325i and it is a huge pleasure to drive. Sound and linear lag free power delivery - thats it! By the way there are lesser parts in this car and fuel consumption is quite good.

For all the people bashing the four cylinder engine in this car, I hope you all know that the car that built BMW's reputation - the 2002 - only was offered with a 2.0 liter inline four.

Hey BMW USA, the car doesn't have twin turbo...the inscription "Twin Power" means direct injection and Variocam. You should know your cars better!
As for me...bought one of the last Reihen Sechs...a BMW without a NA 6 cylinder is a blasphemy!
