This is the biggest load of BS I have ever heard, the blue water area is actually one of the worst areas in Michigan. Live there only if you are a welfare bum, smoke crack, or are constantly wanting to "start shit" with your neighbors, and don't mind getting robbed multiple times, last I heard its becoming a wonderful place for people who use heroine too, Wow what pure BS. There are plenty of good places in Michigan the blue water area is not it.
here's one right out of the port huron times herald: canada saves $ by sending it's trash to michigan.. Now, you wonder WHY people are LEAVING? It's simple: 'Michigan...Canada's LANDFILL'.
@sailingbbs1 walk along WHAT BEACH? Lakeside? It may be a whole whopping 300 feet. Big Deal, The Pinery in Grand Bend has at least 5 miles of UN interrupted beach. We used to spend our vacation timo over there...until the Achmeds changed things back in 2002 . aka 9/11/02
@"pjezierski", dont' make this personal. Yes, I AM from the Port Huron area. You and "womensman87" are part of the problem, not the solution. It's a beautiful area, filled with great people. If you hate it so much, feel free to leave any time, and become the problem somewhere else.
@behindthecamera I'm wondering ...'Why, in the hell did I come back to this sh*t hole? port huron is dying, and bruce brown is the blame. If you 'miss home....you really are sick. but, no offense, if you want to come back to the ghost town...
YOU are NOT from around here, are Ya? Port Huron is dying...let it go. I'm glad I left...Bruce Brown is their Manager and he is burying it deeper too...Last one out, turn OFF the lights.
Walk along the beach, take in the spectacular view along the Edison parkway where you can watch freighters glide by, take in the Thomas Edison Depot Museum, or tour the historic Huron Lightship...all of which are pure Michigan and deserving of a TV ad!

Croswell and Lexington, have MORE to offer than the ghost town of Port Huron does.

The photo is lousy, but the script perfectly caputres everything I loved growing up near Port Huron. I miss "home".
