mini crab BEAM robot

Mini Crab is a six-legged walker robot. The light seeking behavior is a BEAM robotics circuit. It is driven by two geared pager motors.Thank you for your interest in the little robot. His rechargeable batteries died, so he isn't getting around now....I'll have to fix that! Here's a link with some photos of the building process. I hope that helps.

incredible! what circuitry program are you using in the central brain or CPU of the surface crawler, please let me know or is it remote control??

The brain is a really simple 555 timer chip and a DPDT relay. You can find a great tutorial on the circuit at Make magazine web site under instructables for the robot mouse (literally built in an old computer mouse body). It's easy to build and will power motors without an H bridge. thanks for the comment...Charles

BEAM bots use NO microcontroller. thats it.

they are just smart circuits. and a lot of beam bots use solar power, thats true!
