This is an Xbox 360 Rockband Drum Kit plugged into a computer using XPadder. The hardware was modified by replacing the "back" button on the controller part of the drums with the Staples Easy Button on the floor. This acts as the hi-hat pedal. Software called GlovePIE, which is commonly used for Wii remote button mapping, determines if the pedal is up or down, and sends the corresponding note to FL Studio's FPC, which plays the correct drum sample.

I'm not really a drummer and I don't even own a 360. I bought the drum kit in an attempt to teach myself basic drum skills. I got the basics, and I realized that it was missing a hi-hat pedal, so I built one. Please... don't go too hard on me because of my playing. It's not the best, it's passable, right?

  • Get some rubber and glue it to the bottom of the easy button so it doesn't slide away! :P

    SS

  • I actually took some cardboard and taped it to the foot of the drums, and then taped the button to that.

Also, I just got a real drum set, so I don't use this that much anymore.

  • Dude..Are you really getting 0 lag? D: because when I hook my pads up (I actually have 3 kits XD) I always get this nasty ass lag. (Ooh btw, I only use one and I still get bad lag)

  • Could be a combination of different things. What program are you using? What soundcard do you have? (If any)

  • Wasn't paying attention, and I thought the first song was "Walk This Way". xD

  • Could have been... Sounded like it. I was just playing random time and stuff.
