Wooden escalators in Macy's

We are on the top floor in Macy's department store in Manhattan, where we take a ride down the old wooden escalators. These escalators were installed over 100 years ago, and are now a landmark. I LOVE these escalators!! I was afraid of them as a kid, and my kids were afraid of them as kids!! I am glad they have preserved them...how old are they, I wonder? Thanks for posting - I enjoyed seeing them. And now that I work for Macy's....Hahaha!!! It is so funny how life takes us in circles!
