The first movie using the new Go Pro HD Hero camera.

Resolution is set to 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second

The camera is mounted to the control bar without any vibration repression material being applied to the mount itself or the bar.
When using a regular video camera with the same mount, the footage was so badly distorted it was rendered useless to us!

In our next configuration we will be testing the best non-OEM bar mount and hopefully we will get even less vibration thus the ability to mount the camera in many different places i.e. all the bars available on a Microlight.

  • should not wear sandles with socks, its the law.... shame on you

  • Is it just me, or are taking off at a faster speed than most trikes cruise at? I would swear you are going about 70-80 mph on take-off. Is this a high performance trike?

  • @hgv2tac game on dude game on i like it

  • @theknightlynews Two strokes (which this is) statistically take off much faster because they have less pistons. However, this does seem fairly quick, but also there's only him in it, and it weights practically nothing :)

  • @jamesandtanya That's a rule for planes under VFR conditions outside of FAA section 103, (the ultralight section) ultralights don't have to follow the same VFR rules as bigger planes, if that answers your question.

  • 5:40 - TAG!!

  • can you fly to latvia and give me a ride?

  • lol cool, looks like fun!

  • I hope your GPS doesn't fly away in a flight.

  • One of the best trike videos on youtube. That was made possible by the excellent camera resolution, wide angle lens, pilot perspective (not wing perspective) and best of all - no music!

(Most pilots want to star in their own videos so they mount the camera on the wing, forgetting that youtube viewers are not interested in them, but in the experience they are having. A good video should allow the viewer to vicariously experience what the pilot experiences through the camera)

  • That's a fast trike.
