true that. I'm new to touchscreen phones and i already miss the good ol buttons. however, to compensate this a more mathematical movement can be used instead of a random floating one, and a driving profile can change it back to traditional grid button layout.

Interesting idea, but not effective for a phone. There are way too many button presses and moving icons.
Mobile devices need to take advantage of user conditioning/muscle memory. Imagine your customer is driving down the road trying to open a map. How much harder does your animated, click-happy UI make that?
I'm all for innovation, but I fear you guys missed the mark on this one.
