this game totally changed my viewpoint on games, before i played this i was a graphics whore like everyone else and when i first played it i was like omg this game sucks cos it's in 2d then i played it and it's now one of my fav games of all time and i'm a retro game fan now. so to all of you ff7 fans out there who havn't played the old games, give this one a try, just give it a chance, it may be a little comical at first but it get's better as u play through it.

I remember seeing the intro for the first time with Butz riding Boco trough the hills with this song playing on the background. An orchestra of dreams and expectations (?)

It's also technically the first 'correct' FF in the US to go mainstream.
Since, you know, FF1 on NES wasn't that popular back then and 'FF2' and 'FF3' technically weren't FF2 and FF3 at all.

@nihongeorge indeed. FF7 is only big because it's the first 3D FF. It was spectacular for its time but FF5 is still somehow more enjoyable to me

I hold FFV's soundtrack up there; it has this adventurous score to it.

@brainjuice654 Yes :D You don't need graphics to have a great game, out of all the ones I've played (Elder Scrolls ETC included) none have been better in my eyes than the good old SNES games :D (And DOOM95 is still my favourite shooter ever)
