Pop music can be good. The Beatles played pop music, after all. Britney Spears doesn't play an instrument, write her own lyrics, and compose the arrangement. Your type of close-minded, archaic attitude is just as fucking bad as that of the executives who keep ramming crap down the throats of the general public. You're just the other side of the coin -- but it's the same coin. If you don't like it, that's fair enough. Music is open to interpretation. Just don't damn it off-hand.

I agree that this song is walking the thin line between average pop and "throw away" pop, but I think what he's trying to do here makes a lot more sense within the context and theme of the album.
