Melissa wrote this song with Kenny Loggins and performs it here with Peabo Bryson. Melissa and Peabo have collaborated many times before and had a top 40 hit with "Lovers After All". Recently saw the 2 of them together in the Colors of Christmas tour and they still have great chemistry together. This is from Melissa's Rainbow Room Concert which was broadcast on AMC.

  • Something's wrong with the video.

  • sponge, since you seem to be a melissa manchester fan can you post her song with david gates entitled "WISH WE WERE HEROES", youtube seemed to have deleted it

  • @audbyrd hasn't anyone posted it yet? That's a great song.

  • Comparing Melissa to Stevie is like comparing Judy garland to melissa Etheridge. Both queens but of totally different kingdoms.... Melissa's voice, skill, range & natural talent outshine Stevie who is indeed a forever queen of rock.. We who love Melissa, love everything about her.

  • see lud burn on a saturday nite: ref. to London Blitz 1940

  • @Britmusicfan Hello Friend: I know that Melissa has a very pretty voice. But then, Stevie did such a good job on this song, give Stevie the credit where it's due her. Career wise we all know Stevie is the reigning queen of rock & roll, and there's no debating that. But I see your love for Melissa, and that's very sweet.

  • @Angelis469 Do check out this song on youtube. Search for "The Muppet Show - Whenever I Call You Friend "

I love Stevie's other songs but for this song, I think Melissa did a great job. Melissa will always be the "Queen" in all her fans' hearts. She's a lovely person & talented singer-songwriter who is so under-rated/under appreciated.

  • @StevieNicksfann STEVIE does the better job...and Kenny knew it then. Voices, let's look at Stevie's career and Melissa's career...who's the queen of rock...surely not Melissa.

  • @str82hell4u

Although I like this version, Stevie Nicks does it much better. Sorry

  • Wow I love this song! No matter who's version it is, it always sounds great =D
