Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor defended herself Tuesday against charges that her speeches and rulings show racial bias, telling a Senate panel vetting her nomination that critics had misunderstood her record. (July 14)
@dictionar1 Omg, so true. She seems very nervous in this video. Her body language is sketchy. Also, she just seems like a disagreeable person all around, kinda creepy. Also, it is obvious her ancestry is predominantly European. I wonder why she hates whites so much...
@cia5000 Ever heard of Affirmative Action?? Or a myriad of other policies and institutions that are created and designed to lift the colored man out of his mire? That is why so many non-whites are doing "well." Open your eyes! Many people get jobs and positions of power BECAUSE they are NOT white. It is not even covered up. All the time you hear about it going on. Everyone knows non-whites that got into college or got a particular scholarship because they aren't white.
As a Caucasian male, I somehow get the feeling that a lot of these so-called people of color are doing everything they can to remove whitey from all places of power and prestige (over the course of time). But I wonder, if they're successful in achieving their agenda, what do they think will happen to the standard of living they enjoy? After all, didn't the dreaded "white male" have just about everything to do with establishing it?
Nigeria, Salami, Mexico, ... move over -- here we come!!!
I see wise laTINA Sonia SotoMAYOR got her J.D. from YALE Law School in ’79 as did Newark, NJ mayor Cory Booker in transverse ’97. Unrelated to NFL TE Shannon SHARPE; 19212-057; or “uncles and aunts with something to lose from your success in life” themes: Booker’s predecessor, Sharpe JAMES, served concurrently in state capital TRENTon as a state SENATOR--the city Associate Supreme Court Justice SAM aLITo was born 4/1/50. It's just a hunch, but what about that 1613 Chestnut? Who's DAY O'CONnor?
A very political answer to a very loaded statement. I'm not sure how one could miss understand a statement such as the one Justice Sotomayor made regarding the superior abilities of Latino women to white males. As usual, with not so subtle arrogance, those in Washington brush the people's concerns aside under the assumption that the people are to stupid to be taken seriously.
