This tip shows how easy it is to make a simple rolling bassline by cutting up existing samples and layering them together. The samples in this bassline came from a collection called "Trance Elevation" which can be seen here

  • I always avoid sampled basses but this sounds really great, never would've guessed it was done like that.

Love the tuts so far! :)

  • @JakeTMusic1 Exactly, if you just use a sample as is it's kinda boring for me. But usually they have a great quality to them. So just cut em up to what you like and you're good to go :)

  • wow. So do you layer a Bass pad under all of your basslines?

  • @Alexvlastaras Not always, sometimes it sounds good sometimes not.

  • Thank you so much ..... we want more :)

  • @bhargavdjoshi Weekly not enough? :)

  • @maxgraham not even close to enought, 3 videos at week, pleeeeeeaseee *-*

  • Hello Max, I've always got a lot of problems whens it comes to mastering the basslines. they tend to sound too low, too distoreted, and sometimes too overcompressed. Although I always find a solution to it, I would like to hear any simple and fundamental suggestions. Thank you very much and please keep on doing these awesome videos! Much appreciated!

  • Im no producer by all means, but I like to dig around from times to times and see how tracks are done... Sometimes its not the technique that amazes me, but the cleverness and/or the creativity about it. Basically, I like! :)
