@r3ck0rd it's a good thing, maybe next time he plays with McLaughlin and De Lucía, Paco will strap onto an electric guitar too, and we can have our Jazz version of G3.

@TIMMYDEEZ Frank Gambale is another one of a kind too, and it's most likely you will eventually see DiMeola solo or in a band than aussie Gambale around the US very soon.

It's still there behind him. He played most of the tour's electric numbers with the Rhodes. I'm sure he liked playing the ol "key-tar" for the encore number because he could be up front and do the call-response thing with the audience. 5:23 Chick has commented that he's all about audence engagement. Elektric Band is fun too!

That's exactly the case. Chick played the Rhodes for the whole gig. It wasn't until the encore that he strapped on the keytar.
