Here is my recent review of one of my early christmas presents! It is the Hot Tools Braid Sealer: here is a link for more product info:

PS I pinch the ends of the braids and roll to make sure they are secure

  • Hello, can you tell me if that works with batteries or does it need to be plugged ? Wil it work in Europe where we have 220 volts, then ? Thanks !

  • plugged in to the wall, and i guess you would need an adapter

  • does it work on yarn braids?

  • as long as yarn melts when heat is applied, yes

  • hey, can you tell me what kind of synthetic hair you use? :) thanks

Not all synthetic hair can be sealed with water. It usually works with high quality kanekalon. It is normal that the ends unravel a bit, but the braid won't come undone. Yeah, I hate the hard scratchy ends you get from the burned ends. Look for the following video: Martins Rastazöpfe. It shows how we seal the braids with hot water and how the braids look afterwards.

  • @MagicStyleAtelier . how do you seal your hair with water. i've tried doin it with hot water but it unravels. and when i burn the ends it sticks to the other braids and get stuck on the clothing i wear

  • I prefer to seal the ends with hot water. They look more natural and they are soft. Plus they won't rip my sweaters ;).
