Aw man, I used to bale with one of those 20 years ago, Had an old Volvo BM 350 pulling it. Never broke down once for me, which was unusual, according to my friends. ... talk about a trip down memory lane there. :)

wow that must suck having to unload them like that i hated having to unload the hay wagon in NY but its a great workout

This was an awfully wet and cool hay season - only got 1650 bales put up, and 90% of that done from last week of August to second week of September. Summer of '08 was my best season yet: 2150 bales. Hopefully this summer is better growing and more efficient still, now that we'll be double windrowing with a tandem hitch of NH 258's.

Well our baler is only 25yrs. old and if you work'em hard they wear out faster. Its easier for us to use our 18ft. Flatbed wagons and save fuel without the need of a skid loader. Plus it's usually only me stacking wagons and i enjoy it.

Actually it's a 20 ft beast we just bought in the fall - last owner told me 200 bales capacity. We'll see in 5 months!
I finally got to try out our chute and hitch behind the baler with our 20 ft wagon - it's a bit tricky on smaller fields, but overall it's a fantastic change, and makes us more efficient.

Glad to hear that, How much hay did you put up this year?

We've got a 276, and just found a wagon hitch and chute like the one you've got hooked up. I can't wait to load them straight on to the wagon!

I hope your wagon's are 18ft. and not 16ft. Cause i hate loading 16ft. Wagons! lol

If you think 16ft.wagons are a pain try 14ft. I live in eastern Ohio, and when I was a kid we had a 16 & a 14. You had to fight to get more than about 75 bale on the 14.What a waste. Nice vid.though.

The worst was when we had no wagons when I was only around 4 i could remember. Baled them onto the ground and then Stacked them on our old F-800. I was always told to watch out for rattle snakes under the bales when they were on the ground.
