  • Yeah, the way Californians have learned to create and express connection is to stare! It's from all of that psychological group work in the 80s & 90s. Whichever person who could stare down the others had more "daring for intimacy". Obviously, staring can make people uncomfortable, but Lee is in the business of getting past what triggers stress reactions. Guess that's not true for people who come from other sub-cultures, and blinking would be more...appropriate. ;)

  • I would say he is suggesting that we BE something that is innate within us.

  • The principles make sense and I like them, but he would be more natural if he blinked
