@SunQuestMinis That's too bad, hope you get a new one, or something similar, I've been checking them out as a second bike, right now I have an old shadow 500 and althought I want a nice Victory heavy weight, I was thinking a Katana would work perfect as a middle bike for light touring =]

cool, but was it filmed with a fax machine? beepbeep beep beepbeep

I can't say one sounds better than the other, both sounds good to me....

@AKAOmnivore That's awesome. Thanks for the info. I want to either get a Katana 750 or 600, a yzf 600r, a 95 zx6r or a zx7r (doesn't much matter what year, and I would also definitely consider a cbr f3. These all seem like practical bikes for my budgeting plans. I will say this, I would be damn lucky to find a good legit deal on a zx7r.

@mark28105 Kat 750 is more than most need. Older technology but they commonly make it to the 100k mile mark with maint done. Great riding position 750-150mph 600-135mph (always good deals on Katanas out there)

Nice sound to it both with and without the baffle. Thanks for the comparison.

how do you like this bike? I'm thinking if I'm able to find a good deal I'll buy one before the summer.

The new pipe makes it sound much nicer. Thanks for posting
And for those that ask, the gsxf750f (Katana 750) was a phenominal bike imo. Very forgiving of my many newbie mistakes. I never once dumped her and she had 9k miles on her. Her front wheel always stayed on the ground even when I grabbed a handfull of throttle.
Now, I remind you that she didn't excel in any one area. She was not a full blown sport bike, not a cruiser. A real "Jack of all trades" kind of bike. Unique looking, sporty when necessary, comfortable. Someday I will find another one.

Well, I let my hubby take my Kat on a long trip (1800 miles) early in summer. On the way home, about 60 miles from home, he totaled my baby. The Kat got him home, but that was all. Not an inch of paint not scratched, gas tank dented, frame twisted, beowulf badly dented. (insert crying woman's voice here)
I was going to make a new vid of her after his trip as pipes really matured nicely, but alas it was not meant to be. RIP my poor Kat. I miss you DEARLY! (No parting out. Insurance totalled)

At the time this video was made, the bike was brand new with ess than 100 miles on it. That is why it was not rev'd higher. This video was made because there was no clear comparison of loudness between the original pipe and the Beowulf. I will say I run the Beowulf without the baffle and now I kick the rmps up and it is much louder and the tone goes higher in pitch. But, at normal rmps, the Beowulf is mellow. It is a change that I am really happy with.
