Here's my buddy Bobby again. What an alto;what a commanding original "Conservation" by Bobby.The theme simply surges along..then Wham,Bam..not Thank You Mam..but Thank you Bobby ,eveything kicks in !!This Octet is without doubtl ,one of the most exciting ;cohesive & talented that it has ever been my pleasure to catch "live.I first heard them @ "Ronnies on the Friday,after they had just flown in from Zurich.They were entitled to be tired..but were they Hell ! After this volcanic evening & into the wee small hours....I then caught them @ the Camden Festival.The venue was "The Round House ( an ex Railway Shunting Shed...it sounded like one ref the accoustics)..BUT the Octet just gobbled all before them.I have the complete concert which ast 50 mins.From the private collection of Colin Kellam.
