  • i had to do this today, im from glasgow and had to use money in England.. was so tense i agree, but see if someone uses english money in scotland, we dont give a crap.. so why are england so awkward about it? :P its not a dig, i just wanna know :P its the same amount of money and all that jazz. xxx

  • @BammItzBekah I live in Edinburgh and was had to put up with hemming and hawing from a shopkeeper in Oxford a couple of months ago. Naturally, I immediately though of this video. And I have no idea why they're so crabby about it. When you figure out, let me know! In the meantime, it certainly makes for good comedy.

  • That one comment on Owlssayhoot's video brought me here.

  • Why shouldn't Scottish banks issue their own notes? Scotland's one of the oldest countries in the world. Why should we have to use only English notes?

  • Seen this many a time - so funny

  • I was in Liverpool in December and my Dad had some money from his trip to Edinburgh earlier last year, and when we wanted to pay the taxi driver that took us from the airport he said You NEED to go to the bank and exchange that for some REAL money" ...

  • @Ozymaddyas oh sorry :)

  • @gemgem75335 wtf, I'm not a retard. I meant in the audience.

  • @Ozymaddyas micheal mcintyre lol did u see the name of the vid

  • @BammItzBekah Because there are less Scots than English, so it's * comparatively* rare to see RBS notes south of the border...

  • I just had to pay for something in Surrey with money left over from a trip to Edinburgh and had this sketch running through my head the whole time. 'Here's TEN POUNDS STERLING!' But it just varies from shop to shop. I worked in a shop in England and never batted an eyelid when someone paid with Scottish notes.

  • Is that Mark Speight?

  • @OstracizedEmu me too :-)
