QUT international post-graduate student Ben Chua, from Singapore, expresses concern regarding QUT, an Australian University, where two academics were recently suspended for 6 months without pay after publicly criticizing the content & author of a PhD project entitled: "Laughing at the Disabled: Creating Comedy Which Confronts, Offends and Entertains."
Students and lecturers should have ethics when commenting on disabled, disadvantaged and marginalised population.

After watching this, a few others & write-ups by the professors & the filmmaker. Also others who watched the whole film. I think this saga is blown out of proportion by the professors. They have just a glimpse of film & interpreted it. They have not respected the PhD student's thesis-in-progress & brought it out to the public for scrutiny. They could have spoken to the PhD student, advised him, discuss the student's intentions before even judging his intention based on their own presumptions.

Dang, I'm trying to go there. Well, hopefully I'll still have much to look forward to (even with my OWN conservative values). Guess I'll just move on and keep looking for videos about the Kelvin Grove campus.
