  • See, you always here the " put blackout shades over your windows to not let in light" but how does that work IN THE MORNING, when you WANT the light to come in and naturally wake you up? Or is the only answer, to use an alarm, which I don't agree with as being the natural way to wake up.

  • @jamesbizs It is VERY rare that blackout drapes or shades will block out all of the light. The little that comes in is more than enough to cause you to wake up. Besides you should not be sleeping that much longer after dawn anyway. If you are you need to start going to bed earlier.

  • Yeah being in bed by 10pm its really imoprtant!! i went to bed this am at 1.15.. slept till 11.30 had breakfast at 12.30 and went again to sleep this afternoon for 2 hrs.. I find it hard going to bed early at weekends.. but gotta give it a go!!

  • i have been sleeping at around 3:00 am or even later since like seven years now... what can i do to get my self to sleep earlier cuz nothing seems to help!! and getting early in the morning makes me really depressed cuz it makes me feel all weird cuz i am doing something apart from what is usual for me.HELP!

  • okay...what if you're having a very troubled life and the minute you go to bed...all your troubles come flashing in your mind one by one? cuz that happens to me every night and i eventually have to turn on the TV or my lap top to get my mind off all the stress....and  if you do keep every thing electronic out of the room and keep the room that dark...how are you supposed to check on your watch to see what time it is...in case you think you have over slept??
