Does the IO Dock work for you with iOS5 and the new Alesis 1.7 firmware? I really want to buy one, but have heard there are issues with the IO DOCK and iOS5. :-(

@carloide75 This is actually my biggest question and the reasons why I watched both videos. Is he really playing his songs live with the click track going to the PA?!

Great video, man! Very helpful and thorough. I can see a ton of benefits to this setup. The biggest drawback I can think of is the lack of level control on the individual tracks by the FOH guy. If you're a solo act, obviously that doesn't matter and it works great. Would love to see something just like the IO Dock but with multiple outputs that you can assign the various tracks to. THAT would be awesome and would truly replace a laptop/audio interface setup

I Almost got a Alesis Dock especially since there only $159 on ebay brand new with free shipping!,
but then i found out you can use Real usb audio/midi interfaces !! and that 24-bit 96k us-800 still selling for $250 at guitar Center is only $99 on ebay!!! i had to do it

I am looking into this. You stated in the first video how great it is to have up to eight tracks. But, theres only a stereo send from the ipad. theres no way to give the sound mixer control of the individual tracks? or a step further, what if the drummer needs to hear more of the click then the guitarist? or what if you dont want the click in the main mix at all, only for the players. In other words, wheres the 8 channel breakout capability? Doesnt look possible w/ this rig?

@IndepthMusic1 That's not possible. I get that question all the time and I remind people....It's only an iPad; not a computer. You have to be excited what the iPad can do right now and look for the future. the iPad is only 2 years old :).

I've noticed that grounding issue you are having with several of my pieces too. The Kronos has USB midi, the M3, does... and there are also USB hard drives in my chain... for some reason when those USBs are connected, I get that feedback in my signals as well.....
