This is my Tool Assisted Speedrun for Metroid Zero Mission on the Game Boy Advance. I collect all the items in the game and get a final time on the ingame clock of 42:07, although the real time is about one hour.

Tool Assisted - these games are played using a emulator at super slow speeds and save states. The goal is to provide entertainment by showing off game glitches and beating the game as fast as possible.

  • How long do you actually take to make a TAS? (you can give as an example, this one)

  • It varies greatly depending on the complexity of the game and your motivation. This one was started in February, but I didn't work on it constantly (and made other TASes on the side), so maybe 3-4 months of active work. The Super Metroid 100% run took about half a year of active work, and the glitched Super Metroid run maybe a few weeks.
