This video shows a heavy calculation using Aquastructures in 15 meter waves.
Hydra Tidal AS develops marine (tidal and ocean) current power plants with unique competitive advantages in the context of cost to production ratio. This is accomplished by a patented floating system, keeping maintenance cost to a minimum because the plant can be towed by boat. We're currently building a 1,5 MW prototype that can deliver 5,5 GWh annually. Each plant weights approximately 320 tonnes and has 4 turbines, each having a diameter of 22 meters (72 feet). The prototype is due to deploy in the Gimsoysund tidal current located at Lofoten Islands in the northern Norway in 2010.
