Burning one gallon of gasoline produces 19 pounds of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The plantation teak trees of Panama Teak Forestry sequester that carbon and release the oxygen back into the atmosphere. Every 5.5 pounds of teak grown is the equivalent of one gallon of gas burned. Or, said another way, the teak trees sequester 19 pounds of CO2 for every 5.5 pounds of teak wood grown. Panama Teak Forestry has already planted more than a half a million trees...
