@Coolbri1191 lol man naah if i get a new pc im gonna get a good one this time i just want this to last me a year or so more till i get a job this summer and then get my new pc and i think ill stick with the 9250 since the only reason i really need it is for dual monitors and anyways it has to be better than the integrated right? ive estimated that this upgrade will cost me about 150-175 bucks so its much cheaper than a new pc.

@Techthisbuffalo your heatsink fan will be okay. i forgot you only had the wimpy 200w. at this point, you're upgrading so many things, it's better to just get a new computer. that dell you have is almost 10 years old. time for a new computer dude, start saving!

@Coolbri1191 k thanks but one problem it says it requires a 300w psu i only have a 200w psu and the cpu i have a 2.4 right now no ht will i be able to upgrade to a 3.06 without getting a better heatsink and fan?

@Techthisbuffalo chipset limitation. just dont get a 9250. old old old card with really old specs.. go for an 8400gs, it's not a bad card, and is at least recent. it's faster than this card too and it's 50 bucks. you can pick up a 3.06ghz P4 for $20 on ebay.

@Coolbri1191 gpu hmm i would say about 50 bucks im not gonna spend a fortune on an old system so yeah probably 50 bucks is the most ill spend preferably lower but the radeon 9250 is about the best i could find for pci. and one question why cant i run a 3.4 ghz pentium 4 even though its a 478 pin and the pentium 4 on mine is 478 pin?

@Coolbri1191 ok thanks for the info and i have 2 gigs of ram but at least tell me this would run runescape? at perhaps high or medium at least? ill probably use it for homework, netflix, and runescape and thats about it. it would do all of this easily right i still havent got the proccesor or the ati radeon 9250.

@Techthisbuffalo First off, the fastest P4 available for a Dell 2400 is a 3.06ghz northwood, unless you have the modded powerleap prescott 3.2ghz P4... there is no 3.4 P4 that will work in a Dell 2400! Second, you will be lucky to run WoW at even low settings. WoW has repeatedly updated their graphics engine for each expansion.. if it were say 2004, then yeah medium with ease. Lastly, how much ram do you have?
