I must say 'that' is probably one of the most sincere, from the bottom of the heart apologies I've ever heard. Would that more were like you, it'd be a far better world.

You don't need to apologize. You have a good point. Gold and Silver can be filled by other metals. It is important to notice that the smaller the coing of the gold and silver is, the more difficult is to filled it out with another metal. So I reccomend to stay away from bars and by coins.

yeh... but make him crawl all the way to the gallows on top of shards of broken bottles of beer and the residue from those that drank it.
Plain old hanging is just too good for him.
Can he get the new video up before I get sober?

i say hang him, what do you say people ;)
To be honest, resin part sounded odd. Now we know why:)

Hi Rytis.
The resin is still likely used, to bind the powder, I reckon, but to even-up the density it needs a little of something more dense than gold, not less.
Platinum would do the job, but the price might make it impractical to bother.
There are some other alternative substances.
Ultimately, however, if the bars never see the light of day (vaulted under a bank) then maybe tungsten-only would be close enough to fool a 'forklift man'.
More to come.
p.s. Thanks for kind words everyone.

To Er is to be human, cast the first stone and all that..
Can I ask what the errored data was?

Hi pardonwhat, and everyone.
I had the density of gold wrong - it is higher than I said, very close to Tungsten, which is why coins might get away with just solid tungsten coated with gold.
For larger bars, the additional product required to mix with the tungsten needs to be more substantial. Platinum would work, for example, but you'd need to work out the relative cost of a Tungsten/platinum mix to gold.
I am working on it.
